BET Sunday Best winner Geoffrey Golden has announced the details for his upcoming project. He is set to record his major label debut effort in a live session at Irving Bible Church in Irving, TX on Apr. 17 at 7p.
Golden won season 7 of BET’s hit singing competition Sunday Best in 2014, becoming only the second male winner in the franchise’s history. He was affectionately known by show host and executive producer Kirk Franklin as “The Black Pavarotti” for his ability to masterfully sing any song with power, control, and incredible tone.
As a result of winning season 7, Golden is now signed to Franklin’s Fo Yo Soul imprint, along with fellow Sunday Best winner Tasha Page-Lockhart and The Walls Group.
